Whenever I get a chance to dress up on a night out (which is rare), it's a chance for me to whip out fancy outfit with heels and all the other trimmings. Usually this only happens at a family event, Christmas or New Years. I feel like as a student, on nights out we girls tend to whip out the typical 'nice top with jeans'. Sometimes I wish that clubs would enforce a dress code every once in a while, don't get me wrong I love being comfortable wearing flats in a club, but at times, I'd just like to have to put more effort into what I wear, to occasionally have to wear a pair of heels. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks like this, maybe I'm not. Someone, let me know! Either way, here are a few of my favourite outfits to wear on a 'fancy' night out.
1st look- Blue dress from Boohoo- bought on sale july 2017 (I'd wear this the same colour heels preferably, but black will do)
I love this dress so much, it feels great, it fits great and I got it for £8!!!
2nd look- Lilac playsuit from New Look -bought in jan 2016
I've had this playsuit for a little while now, though I've only worn it on 2 occasions so it's still in good condition. This one cost me £14
3rd look- Dark Blue sparkle halter neck from New Look- bought in jan 2015
I've worn this dress once, it was one of the first 'night out' items that I've bought and I just fell in love with the glitter. I'm still in love with things that glitter (check out my Shining, shining, shining post below) £10
4th look- Purple sparkle mini dress from New Look- bought in jan 2015
I bought this dress the same day I bought the halter neck above, I love it because 1) it sparkles 2) it fits just right £7
5th look- Blue turtle neck dress from New Look- bought in jan 2015
I've worn this dress a couple of times, it was one of the first 'night out' items that I've bought, if you didn't know my favourite colour, I think you can guess from my collection here £9
I definitely need a jumpsuit for my wardrobe and I need to expand my shoe range...welp that's my next shopping mission now :)
Now let me show you what I usually end up wearing on a night out --->
Basic student outfit advice : Invest in good pairs of jeans and a selection of nice tops because this will more likely than not end up being your 'night out uniform'. Occasionally you'll wear a skirt, dresses...less than likely, I mean you can, but we students tend to dress to be comfortable (and I love being comfortable because that means I can really get down!)
And it's a good idea to invest in at least 4/5 jeans, because believe me, you will end up wearing each pair a gazillion times. Now I own 5 pairs of jeans and yet, I still feel like that's not nearly enough. Whilst I'm on the topic of jeans, if anyone knows a place that sells good quality jeans, let your girl know. I'm yet to find a pair I love since my last post about jeans! Somebody, anybody, help me out!!!
Until next time,
