Movie Night!

17.03.2018

WAKANDA FOREVER!!!

Oh what a night it was! I had been anticipating the release of Black Panther ever since the news was released that a film was going to be made. My whole household has been anticipating it and it lived up to the buzz. We loved it! Woo! I don't think I can convey well enough, how that movie made me feel, but I think, proud and blessed convey a few of those emotions.

I came down from university to watch Black Panther together with my family in London and I'm so glad I did. It was however, extremely cold and I had to wear one of my dad's jumpers under my jacket and it was still frosty, but of course I weathered it out. I never, ever, dress in a particular way when I'm going to the cinema. But when I first heard that Marvel were making Black Panther back in 2016, I knew then and there that I was going to take the opportunity and dress for the occasion.

Now I'm no comic enthusiast so I didn't go down the dress up in cosplay route, but instead because the film was such a stellar example of black excellence, I chose to dress like a member of Black Panther.

I already owned everything I wore, the black jeans, boots, polar neck (borrowed from Mum's wardrobe), leather jacket and hat, which I'm pretty sure I've owned since I was 10. It's actually a really easy outfit to put together and if you didn't want to wear jeans, you could easily replace it with a black skirt or, an option I was considering, a polar neck dress. I say a polar neck dress because having you neck covered just looks better. And of course I wore hoops. You can't go wrong with a pair of boots, especially when wearing a hat.

My first cinema outing of 2018, and it'll probably end up being my favourite.

Wakanda forever!

Until next time,

Stylishly yours

Natalie
